On November 25, 2017, the Second Membership Meeting of the Overseas Chinese Association in Lithuania was held in Vilnius, attended by over 100 representatives from the Lithuanian Chinese community and Chinese-funded institutions. The meeting was attended by Ambassador Wei Ruixing.
Chairman Wang Jinwei reported on the progress of the Association over the past year on behalf of the board of directors, including institutional development, internal management, event organization, hosting of domestic delegations, and participation in conferences and training sessions abroad. He also outlined the Association's plans for the next stage of work, emphasizing the continual improvement of services to provide assistance and support to every overseas Chinese individual, striving to establish a happy and harmonious Chinese community.
Reports were also presented by Secretary General Chen Hongzhi, Executive Vice Chairman Ma Hongtao, and Supervisor Jian Ling, covering financial status, participation in conferences and training sessions abroad, and supervisory inspections.
Ambassador Wei acknowledged the achievements of the Association over the past year in his speech, encouraging the board of directors and members to continue demonstrating the spirit of courage, selflessness, and dedication, and to jointly promote the continuous advancement of friendly cooperation between China and Lithuania. He affirmed that the embassy will continue to support the work of the Association, maintain close contact with overseas Chinese, and safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of Chinese nationals in Lithuania.
