Lithuanian Overseas Chinese Association Established in Lithuania

Vilnius, Lithuania - November 17, 2016 - A new bridge linking the hearts of China and Lithuania has been constructed today on the ancient and beautiful land of Lithuania. The Lithuanian Overseas Chinese Association was officially established, marking the first association composed of Chinese residents in Lithuania, registered Chinese companies in Lithuania, and other community members, thereby symbolizing a significant milestone for the local Lithuanian community.
The establishment of the Lithuanian Overseas Chinese Association has a clear and firm purpose: to cherish the People's Republic of China, abide by the laws and regulations of the Republic of Lithuania, and to strive to safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of its members. In the promising future of deep economic and cultural cooperation between China and Northeast European countries, the association aims to facilitate economic and cultural exchanges between China and Lithuania, strengthen friendly relations with the Lithuanian people, and serve its members while promoting unity and integration within the mainstream society.
During the inaugural assembly, the attendees approved the constitution of the Lithuanian Overseas Chinese Association and elected the first Board of Directors. Mr. Jinwei Wang was honored to be elected as the inaugural President, entrusted with leading the organization into a new era.

The establishment ceremony attracted over 200 participants including Lithuanian overseas Chinese from various regions and representatives from Chinese enterprises. Ambassador Wei Ruixing, the Chinese Ambassador to Lithuania, and other relevant dignitaries attended the event, extending their congratulations and support for the establishment of the Lithuanian Overseas Chinese Association.
